Hi! My name is Victoria and I am working with the New York Songwriters Circle on their 2009 songwriting contest. The New York Songwriters Circle is now accepting submissions for the 2009 songwriting contest in all musical genres, from songwriters worldwide. with over $25,000 in cash and prizes, including a top of the line Gibson guitar, performance opportunities with Grammy award winning rock legend John Oates, recording session packages with Grammy award winning producer Glenn Barrett, a feature on Q104.3 radio (New York and America's Favorite Rock station) and much more, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
Founded and directed by singer/songwriter Tina Shafer, The New York Songwriters Circle has been at the forefront of discovering top new songwriting talent for over 19 years. Norah Jones, Jesse Harris, Lisa Loeb, Vanessa Carlton, Gavin DeGraw, Kate Voegele, Company of Thieves, Chris Barron and Mieka Pauley are just a few of the performers the NYSC has helped launch to stardom.
The deadline for submissions is October 1st, 2009. Songs may be submitted online or via mail with special awards dedicated to International and Young songwriters.

In an effort to raise funds for the care of adult mentally retarded citizens (special people), Mane Mission is hosting an international songwriting competition. Songwriters of all ages, whether professional or amateur, are invited to participate in the competition for a chance to win $10,000 worth of prizes such as studio time, a new vehicle, and cash.
Applicant’s original songs must be centered on themes about special people, giving, or getting.
The song submissions will be judged equally on originality, lyrics, melody and composition. To maintain equality with all contestants, submissions will not be judged on the quality of performance or recording. Songs from all musical genres are welcome. You may enter as many individual original songs as you like.
Submissions are accepted from April 8, 2008 until Midnight on October 1, 2008.

I am a songwriter, producer & session musician, currently recording/producing 2 albums, at my studio.
A solo, instrumental ambient/classical album, and a pop, rock, adult contemporary album with another singer/songwriter.

I am looking for a talented female to possibly record an album with as well as venture in other projects I may be involved in. I only want to work with singers that have material to use. Ideally with a catalogue of recorded material to choose from. All material will also be sent out for publishing for major artists, films & TV.
I originally was looking to work with a number of various singers, but I think finding a select few I can work with regular will be better.
Everything will be 50/50.
